Close Sessions/Ignore Close Sessions

Post by AfibApnea » Thu Dec 24, 2015 4:55 pm

In Sleepyhead in the File/Preferences window
in the Input tab under Session Splitting Settings
there's a paragraph:
Attention ResMed users: There are some pitfalls you may want to considerbefore trying to split sessions away from ResMed's 12:00 noon day model, click here for more information. that brings up an empty page
http://sleepyhead.sourceforge.net/wiki/ ... _Splitting

Followed by two slider switch items:

Combine Close Sessions [Off --> 240 Minutes]
Ignore Close Sessions [Off --> 90 Minutes]
(both which I set to 5 minutes)

Does anyone know what the "ResMed pitfalls" might be about?

What does the "Close Sessions" setting control?
What does the "Ignore Close Sessions" control?
How are the "Close"... and the "Ignore"... related?

The session information over time (Overview) which is where I would expect the (setting) differences to show up look the same whether I use the default settings:

Close Sessions: 240 min
Ignore Close Sessions: 5 min

or I use the ones I tried:

Close Sessions: 5 min
Ignore Close Sessions: 5 min

I don't know for sure without talking to JediMark ... it is probably an unfinished portion of the software.
If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!
