Transmit data to Resmed??

Post by dooger54 » Thu Dec 24, 2015 10:53 am

Just got my first machine, new Airsense 10 Auto. I bought it from Cpap.com, not a local med supplier. Is there any reason to allow it to transmit my data to Resmed? It keeps asking me whether to take it off airplane mode so it can activate the internal modem.

The only purpose of the modem is to transmit to a DME... ResMed has no interest in your machine data. The purpose is to validate compliance data. If your insurance is not involved you can keep the machine on airplane mode.

That is how Resmed gets data for their monitoring program. My Air.com. You can check your data everyday on the website.
(But it is the same data as on the machine screen.

Thanks Cardfan. I went ahead and signed up for a Resmed Myair account. We'll see if it provides any info worth looking at. If not I'll probably just leave Airplane mode ON.

MyAir.com gives a numerical value for ahi (no breakdown of types) and a plot of leaks. I just got my Gold badge for 21 days of greater than six hours usage! It's good for a quick check, until I get to my computer.

Speaking of Airsense leaks, I've yet to record a leak of less than 10 l/m. I tape my lips, so I ain't the leak. I suspect a leak in the humidifier seal. Anyone else experiencing this?
