Android version of Nitelog for the Z1 Auto and new Firmware

Post by bill-e » Wed Dec 23, 2015 6:56 am

HDM has just released the Android version of Nitelog for the Z1 Auto and a new firmware version with a much improved APAP-2 algorithm.

I used to be an APAP-3 guy but I've been using the new firmware since June and I can tell you that the APAP-2 is just perfect for me. No more pressure cutouts of fluttering. It is absolutely comfortable for me. I believe that only APAP-2 has been updated in this release, at least that is all I was asked to test.

The Nitelog software connects via Bluetooth and I've used it with KitKat and Lollipop phones and it works fine. I'm personally not an obsessive numbers guy so I only use the software to check on my AHI from time to time.

You can download the firmware from HDM and the Software on the Play Store.

A very worthwhile improvement in my opinion.

Questions? ask away!

Bill

What do the different APAP numbers means? Does APAP-2 vs 3 mean a pressure relief of 2 or 3? Or are they different algorithms all together? And can you choose which suites you, or is it dependent on which firmware version you have installed?

I have heard complaints of this machine being loud. Have you found that to be the case?

No matter which firmware you can choose between APAP-1, 2, or 3. In this latest FW the APAP-2 has been reworked so that the annoyances of APAP-3 are gone and there is a smooth transition for relief. I cannot go back to APAP-3 which I had been using for a year.
