FlashAir 3 card read problem.

Post by magus » Mon Dec 21, 2015 8:21 pm

I have the FlashPAP 1.3.1 software, configured the FlashAir 3.0 card. I see the card on my network with an IP address when it is inside the AirSense10 Elite. However, when I run the software to download last night's data to Sleepyhead or Resmed software using the IP address to do the card search, I get an error message, "Connection refused. Try reinserting card". It seems there is no way this card wants to be recognized with any of the card reading options in FlashPAP. I did try Sleepmaster too, but did not get along too well with this software either.

Here is my card config.

Any ideas where I am going wrong here please?

Why don't you just use the FREE Sleepyhead software. Save yourself some headaches.

You might try limiting the length of your APPSSID to eight characters with no special characters. This also applies to the APPNETWORKEY.

Sleep Master uses the APPSSID to resolve the IP Address.

Right on, Jack Russel Fan!! I think the FlashPAP 1.3.1 software did not recognize the hyphen (-) special character in my network name. Once I fixed my SSID without a hyphen and altered APPSSID in the config it connected immediately and did its thing very well. Anyway, I think it is the special character it did not like, as the new password is way more than 8 characters long. I thought maybe it did not like the upper case format I used too, but apparently not. Could be a tweak for a future release of this nice piece of software (script?). So I am set to look at results daily it seems. Now .... let me see if I can get the ResCan 5.4 and SleepyHead 0.9.8 stuff working with this too.

I have been doing this CPAP for many years now. I never thought for one instant that the technology would ever exist for us to do this sort of thing and that someone would take the effort to write a nice piece of Java for such an obscure appliance. Wonderful ain't it?

My thanks to those who have spent time at this - seemingly as a hobby.

Thanks for your diagnosis. Good thought.

Don

I use the FlashAir card in my Air Curve 10 machine. I keep an SD card in my computer all of the time. The Flashpap software transfers my data from the FlashAir card to the SD card in my computer. Sleepyhead software reads the data from the SD card in the computer. I have been using for over a month and have had no problem with the set up.
