New Obama Care waste.

Post by Goofproof » Wed Dec 16, 2015 11:18 am

Caremark called me today, they need to see the data on my XPAP in order to keep sending XPAP supplies. First time for this, I've been using the same machine for 10 years, it has 16,000 hours on it. It's never been checked or seen by anyone but me, since I got it, no card reading nothing.

I've been cutting back of my supplys, to save my ins money, I guess that was the wrong thing to do, since they seem to have money to blow on time wasting like this, I think I will get a New XPAP and HH that I am past due for.

I ran into the same thing with Anthem BCBS this year. I don't think it's just an ObamaCare issue.

BCBSNE (work insurance) sent me a letter to remind me that I had not purchased supplies
lately from the local DME. {{{what does a kickback smell like?}}}
I informed them that I had been buying my supplies from cpap.com;
---Which I continued to do until I retired.

It would appear that somebody didn't like Jim's post and deleted it so I'm quoting it .

But, this would never happen with me. I've always avoided the brick & mortar DMEs so I'm not on any of their customer lists.

Obamacare may be the work of the devil himself, but this is definitely from the insurer themselves, not the gomernment.

There's enough actually wrong with "Obama"care without making stuff up.

My concern is that Jim's post was deleted apparently because of his political views. Let's not delete posts because a member expresses a political view we do not agree with particularly when the primary issue [DME] is directly CPAP related.

My current DME issue directly relates to one DME's interpretation of Medicare rules.
Most [not all] insurance programs follow Medicare rules.
Medicare definitely is government.

I am interested in hearing all current and upcoming DME issues regardless of the posters political views.

A vast majority of the Medicare rules such competitive bidding were created during the Bush administration--it takes a long time from the creation of a rule to its implementation.

This thread reminds me of those purposely ridiculous memes that show everything from earthquakes to bad tasting beer that say "thanks Obama". Find any random event and try to blame Obama. Thanks for the comedy.

I was notified by my DME that it was time for me to pick up supplies. I told them I only wanted a humidifier tank and new headgear since I have plenty of cushions and filters available. They said they did not have the headgear available, but would order it for me and send it to my home. When I got home, they call me and said the insurance (Medicare) would not approve the purchase of the headgear, but they could send me a complete mask assembly. Since my headgear is stretched out and I am starting to get leaks around the mask, I told them to go ahead and send me the complete mask assembly.

All I can say it's on his watch, and in his ball park, he's the one that decided we would have free healthcare, no matter how much it costs, the few that pay the countries bills.

Other things set up in the last year, V. A. Limits on insulin from 90 day supplies to 30 day, shipping costs the same, only by monthly it costs 8 more shipments a year, it's shipped refrigerated...

Many prescriptions have been reclassified controlled drugs, they are limited to 90 day supply, NO REFILLS m requiring a Dr. Visit and billing more often.

If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's not a horse! Jim

I wondered why this thread started, I wasn't aware a sheeple hav deleted mine. I'm sorry, maybe if I put my head in the sand, I wouldn't offend so many, just joking I don't mind offending Sheeple. Jim

ADDED: Also I am getting calls for CPAP supplies, from someone pretending to be my cpap supplier, they have a old mailing list, because the address they have for me is 13 years old, hope they didn't pay much for that list.

I also got a new call today, from the I.R.S. saying I am being sued by them, they gave a local number. 1. The i.r.s., doesn't contact you by phone, and they got all the blood money they required for 2015. Beware, it's tough out there!

Not required; Obama has supplied plenty by himself, would you like a list? I would be happy to provide it.

Feel free to masturbate your Obama hatred as much as you like. I'm not a fan of many things he has done with, but I'm not so demented that I try to blame everything on him or live in a bizarre fantasy world devoid of facts.

But yes, feel free to provide that list of things Obama has done on a cpap forum. And in the meantime I'll see if i can create a list for Bush. Actually no I won't, that would be stupid.

Interesting, from what I understand:

Medicare will approve A7034 [Mask interface - mask or cannula $110.87 – 94.24 ]1 per 3 months
A7035 [Headgear $37.45 – 31.83] 1 per 6 months

It may be that you are eligible for both?
but I don't see a Medicare ruling that requires you accept both in order to obtain a new headgear.

Looks like a DME issue

Mine has them split you can get a new mask, without headgear, next time you can get the headgear minus mask. Only every 6 months, twice the shipping, never a full mask. Jim
