SH: Understanding events and machine response

Post by blownaway » Sat Dec 12, 2015 5:49 am

The Events graph reveals when and what type of events have occurred. Am I correct in assuming that use of a CPAP machine is not going to eliminate those events from starting; that the machine function is to limit the duration of those events and NOT to stop them from initiating?

If that is the case, how do I determine what the duration of an event was?

CPAP is designed to prevent events.

On your Sleepyhead chart, zoom in on the event and look at the Flow Rate chart. You can see when the event started and when you breathed again. The difference in time is the length of the event.

Depend on the SH version you have loaded...Mine is older and I click on "events" and it lists each event and the length in seconds
I believe that on newer versions you simply put your cursor on the event.

BTW, do you still have the pressure set at 4 - 20? What is your AHI and leak level? Can you post a Sleepyhead chart in this thread?
