PR System One series 60 humidifier issue.

The bad news - the locking tab on the humidifier tank lid broke. Poor design. There should have been a small radius where the tab meets the lid instead of a sharp 90 degree angle. I can see a new engineer making that mistake but don't understand how the chief engineer or project team leader missed it.

The good news is I ordered the replacement tank kit from Cpap.com. It was shipped the same day I ordered it and I received it two business days after that.

Same thing happened to me. Now I make sure my tank tabs are lined up exactly with the receiving hoops that come down from the lid's back edge. It seems you can manage get them out of alignment and still latch the lid down... this puts a lot of strain on the the plastic hook/latch.

BTW: You can use a tank with a broken latch temporarily if you just tape the lid down with some blue painters tape. It's probably a good idea to keep a spare tank around. Yes, that latch and lid are a bad design that should never have seen the light of day.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
