Pugsy - Large Leaks
Look at this please. How can I be sleeping thru such long leaks? Maybe I wake up but don't remember.

Re: Pugsy - Large Leaks
You be surprised how heavy you sleep once you are properly treating your apnea. For me, I get large leaks when I probably smush my mask into my pillow. It doesn't wake me up, but I'm only speculating. The leaks are going back down, so I wouldn't worry about it. You got some envious numbers!

Re: Pugsy - Large Leaks
You would think that leaks like that would wake us up but I have slept through worse myself and actually slept quite well and feel good.
Then other times we might wake up to the tiniest leak and maybe not even be able to spot it on the leak graph if it was very brief. It just happens...and I can't explain why.
I had a night a while back where I slept really great with minimal wake ups (which for me is really good) and I go look at the leak graph and I hit 36 % of the time in large leak and had no idea it happened.
Now on occasion I have had it happen when the headgear is too loose (needed to be replaced) and I would remember waking often messing with the mask but I have also had nights where I slept through some really big leaks. I just don't worry about them if it is something that is a relatively rare occurrence (which they pretty much all are).
Because we can sleep through some pretty massive leaks is why I harp on having a machine that will show leak details. People have nights where 50% of the night is way into large leak territory and say they slept just fine.

How true I have noticed since I been put on bipap and did some tweaking that I sleep heavier than I have in years. I even had first my night last week of 0.0 events verified by sleepyhead and ResScan.Sheriff Buford wrote:You be surprised how heavy you sleep once you are properly treating your apnea.

thanks guys. I have appointment at Sleep Medicine on the 17th and was going to ask about total-face mask. maybe i'll hold off on that. going to get one of those special pillows sleepguy has and see if that helps. I am predominantly side sleeper but do roll onto stomach sometimes. got copy of the last study (AHI: .6) they did and there is lots of comments about RLS (also on 1st and 2nd studies). like I really need another issue at this point -LOL
