Equipment Listed in Your Profile
Equipment Listed in Your Profile
Why doesn't all the Equipment listed in your profile show up in the posts. It appears some do and some don't. Whats up?

Re: Equipment Listed in Your Profile
All the items in the equipment menu are tied to cpap.com inventory either present or past and if cpap.com no longer carries it then the links seem to be broken.
Also, people do choose the wrong equipment and often they choose what they think their equipment is but what they are using is a newer model/version but the link to what they have chosen is broken because it has been discontinued.
What equipment are you using that you have chosen but it isn't showing up?

Re: Equipment Listed in Your Profile
So what did you choose and what are you using?
Maybe you need to choose something that isn't discontinued or if your machine is indeed discontinued then add it to the comments section.
Respironics machines and humidifiers often seem to mess people up. People choose older model by mistake.
If you see the machine when you look at the profile and it won't show up here in the posts then the link is broken.
If you will tell us exactly what you are using and what you have chosen we can either point you to the correct choice or confirm that link is broken and tell you that you have to add it to the comments section.
cpap.com has never sold the machine that I am using so that's why mine is in the comments section.
The humidifier link is still working though.

Re: Equipment Listed in Your Profile
It appears than the links to both the 550 and 560 models are broken.
550 Is the PR System One Auto CPAP machine
560 is the PR System One 60 Series Auto CPAP machine
Those models are considered discontinued and replaced by the new DreamStation machines.
Though the 560 link was broken even before the DreamStation was released.
Just add the machine to the comments section...Like PR S1 # 550/560 (whichever yours is)

Or, list it all in the "Signature" section.
That's where I have my equipment and settings listed.

Re: Equipment Listed in Your Profile
Here's something I wrote awhile ago about maximizing the space in your signature line:
The signature line feature does have a lot of benefits because CPAPtalk's equipment profile section goes down from time to time and leaves us all high and dry with no equipment listings being displayed.
Another clever way to go, rather than filling up your signature line with a bunch of text (BTW, it only accepts a couple hundred characters) is to do the following... In the past people would just type out a lengthy text list in MS Word, Photoshop, Notepad or whatever. Then they'd capture that text image with a screen grab or snip tool. Be sure to save the picture to whatever picture format the image hosting sites like Imgur or Photobucket demand - usually PNG or JPG. Paste the resulting image link (IMG) into your empty signature line and then you can have a list as long as you like, even with related images if you want to go all out. For those who so desire, you can also put your favorite political barbs in there.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
