Price Range for Airsense 10 AutoSet For Her?

Post by Drowsy Dancer » Sat Feb 21, 2015 4:07 pm

What is a fair Craigslist price for an (allegedly) unused Airsense 10 Autoset For Her as described above (including the standard trimmings: power supply, carrying case, water tank, tubing)?

I am unsure whether the tubing is Climateline or not.

I'd probably be looking to pay around $400. I see S9 AutoSet's for $300 reasonably often.

However, a lot of sellers want a significant percentage of the DME fantasy price, so you'll see most CPAP at way too high a price on CL.

Yup, aware of that phenomenon. I know enough about PRs to drive a hard bargain. Don't know enough about Resmed yet, and I also know that the Airsense 10 [edit to correct name] is the latest and greatest. I was actually looking for an S9 when I stumbled on the Airsense 10 [edit to correct name] being offered.

Thanks for the estimate, which confirmed my suspicions.

Out of curiosity, I did some searching on craigslist and quickly found a "barely used" S9 AutoSet for $190, if that's any help for comparison. I'd be tempted to buy it myself if I didn't already have a spare AutoSet.

the airsense 10 (not s10) autoset for her is the current top of the line in non-bilevel machines. stlmark has the non-for her offered for 675$.

FYI, there really is no such thing as an S10. Of the new models, The regular CPAP models are called AirSense with Bilevel and and other advanced models called AirCurve. They all basically have a similar look and feel and now incorporate the humidifier on all models.
Current Settings PS 4.0 over 10.6-18.0 (cmH2O) - Resmed S9 VPAP Auto w/h5i Humidifier - Quattro Air FFM
TNET Sleep Resource Pages - CPAP Machine Database
Put your equip in your Signature - SleepyHead v1.0.0-beta-1

See, this is why I tend to stick to PR--I understand its naming conventions, whereas I make newbie errors when trying to talk about Resmed machines.

the amazing thing is that I find the respironics names much more confusing... but when you pare down all the marketing speak all you're really left with is plus, pro, auto, bipap, bipap auto, and autoSV. *lol*

Was your first machine a Resmed? I think we get imprinted like ducks with the first system we're exposed to.

My first machine was a PR.

my first machine was a respironics m pro,... used that for a couple years, then I found a resmed s9 elite on craigslist... used that for a couple years, then got a prs1 560 auto, but didn't like it as much as the resmed, it was a little noisier, and just ... I dunno, not quite as nice, so I then found a s9 vpap auto while I was looking for an autoset. and since the vpap auto can act like a cpap, apap, bilevel and auto-bilevel.... I latched onto that one.

Those fantasy prices.
I still think they are used in tax bookkeeping so those chiselers can claim a "loss".
Less taxes, more time on the beach!
