Cpap Olympics

Post by accurate » Sat Feb 21, 2015 12:17 pm

As I was falling asleep last night the thought occurred to me that there are a series of hurdles one has to go through getting used to this therapy and so I present to you for your edification:

The International Cpap Olympics

Putting on the mask competition:
Points are awarded for speed of completion of getting mask placed over the head and positioned properly, completion of leak check, and final comfort adjustments. Extra points for not looking like Alfalfa after completion.

Airplane roll competition
Points awarded for successfully completing 180 degree roll from a full right side position to full left side without causing any leaks. Extra points for not having the vent stream hit any portion of anyone's face that happens to share the sleeping space. Points deducted for scaring random pets off of the sleeping space.

Mouth manipulation competition (kudos to Palerider)
Points awarded for being able to open ones mouth without losing the seal of pressure to the airway and creating a leak. Extra points for being able to stick your tongue out with mouth open maintaining pressure. Points are tallied by ratio of total tongue length to distance extended past lips.

You can't use that name. You will get a cease and desist letter from the "real" Olympic committee.

Or become tarred with the same brush the IOC chooses when it fails to rebuke corruption.

Of course in honour of the original Olympics it should all be done in the nude.

(Looks at self in mirror)

No, you probably want to retract that suggestion.

That would make the TSA screening part of the event much simpler.

The Olympics are a nude competition...no exceptions...points will be taken for clothing. Extra points for unique physical adaptations of competitions.
