Hi Janet,

Welcome to the forum.

Hard to say as AHI can vary for reasons having nothing to do with the mask. The question is, "how do you feel?" If you feel as well as you did while wearing the mirage fx, I wouldn't give it another thought. And as a new member, I would strongly advise you not to get hung up on AHI figures and again focus on making sure you are making steady improvement in functioning in an optimal manner.

For most people the AHI number varies from night to night. I have been on CPAP for 6 years and my average AHI is 1.5 - 2.0. Occasionally it jumps to 3-4.
Usually I can tell before I look whether I had a good or bad night. Don't worry about AHI as long as you sleep comfortably.

And FYI - AHI means Apnea Hypopnea Index, not A... H... #1.

We are better off not focusing on a single night's data, as every night is different.
We then observe trends and patterns for a more realistic impression of what is going on.
When you step back and review data for a week or so, you can make rational decisions on how to improve things.
Many factors affect our sleep data; food, drink, activity, emotional state, to name a few.
Over-eating, lack of exercise, or too much caffeine are things of which we can be mindful throughout the day.
Any new mask will be different from the last, different texture, flexibility, shape, and tension.
Much should improve within a few nights use.
