Mirage Activa LT and drooling

Post by fparkmom » Mon Feb 09, 2015 10:00 pm

Having just been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea 6 weeks ago, I am new to this forum and to living life with a CPAP. I started out with a full face mask and after trying two different ones without being able to get a good seal on either, I switched to a nasal mask. So far, I am pleasantly surprised at how much easier it is to move around and not 'lose' to seal! But the problem I am having is that I have always been a nighttime drooler....sorry for TMI With the Mirage Activa LT nasal mask, it has an extension' that comes down below where it seals on your upper lip and it almost makes a cup around my lips, so when I drool, it pools in that area and causes me not only a wet face, but very very chapped lips!! Any tips for this newbie??

Don't drool?

LOL, you might just need to change to a nasal pillow mask or other nasal mask that doesn't have this collector. If you don't have a problem with mouth breathing, you'll really enjoy nasla pillows for the lighter, less contact and lower leakage.
