Still having desats with CPAP therapy

Post by Herrickmom » Mon Feb 09, 2015 4:59 pm

I am new to this forum and I am hoping for some help. I have been using my CPAP for 6 months but wasn't receiving the benefits like I thought I would. I talked to my dr and he suggested a pulse oximetry test at home. I haven't gotten the full report but my lowest O2 was 89% the first night and 83% the next night while using the CPAP therapy. My AHI is usually 1 to 1.5. Has this happened to anyone. I am having another sleep study done but I would like to understand why this is happening. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Probably more frequently than we know.
It would be a good idea if you would fill out your profile with your equipment and all the settings.

The oximetry results are interesting. Have you been able to look at any data to see why this might be happening? AHI is only one of the pieces of the puzzle. Your general health, medications, minute vent (ventilation capacity), and other factors might show up in detailed data. Second the idea of completing your equipment profile.
