On bilevel at 12-16. How is the 12 determined and what happens it is it moved closer or farther apart?

Who chose 12? Sleep study based? Autoset machine's adjustment?

epap holds your airway open so you can breath, so it's typically similar to your needed single pressure.

in a clinical bi-level situation where there are lung problems, I believe that epap is set to a level to ensure oxygenation of your blood, and ipap is chosen to ensure removal of co2.

Levels were set in a sleep study. Have had three changes 16-20, 14-18, and presently at 12-16. I am not on auto. Having trouble sleeping more than 2-3 hours and wondering after reading some other posts that seem to recommend moving up the lower number I am trying to see how this is rationalized as I would need a Doctors okay since I am still within the 90 day Medicare compliance. If I need to ask him I would like to explain why.
