Help! System One RemStar BiPAP Auto with Bi-Flex (760P)

Post by tqpannie » Sat Feb 07, 2015 2:29 am

I woke up to a loud sound from my machine and now when I turn it on the blower sounds so loud that I am actually afraid to use the machine? Has anyone had this happen. The machine had 0 blower hours when I bought it. I've had it since 4/19/2013 with no issues. I tried turning it off and then turning it back on but the same loud noise is occurring and there is a whirring sound when you turn it off.

I can not sleep without this machine--Suggestions?

Sure sounds broken. Might still be under warranty based on your purchase date. If you got it from a DME, see if they can't send it in for repair/replacement and maybe give you a loaner.

That description sounds like the blower bearing has failed and the blower needs to be replaced (its a small fan device inside the main unit.)

Did you purchase it used? If it is less than two years old, it may still be eligible for warranty service. If you have a local DME, they might be able to arrange to have it sent to Respironics.

Otherwise; the facility I use for repair is:

I called Emergency line for DME and they met me at their office at 415 am and replaced my machine. Excellent customer service!
