Sleep Study Reading

Post by NewToBiPap » Tue Feb 03, 2015 3:30 pm

I am waiting to go see the Dr. because my sleep study results had possible signs of AV block. The Dr. told me not to worry about it and that i should still get it checked out. Since hearing this information I have been very worried and trying not to freak myself out about it. Like most people I am scared to hear that I have something wrong with my heart. Has anyone ever heard of findings like this on their sleep study?

AV block (IF you have it) may not necessarily be a dire thing... it's not uncommon and can be treated like anything else.

I had PVC's show up on my sleep study. I already knew about them because I could feel them when trying to go to sleep. I had already had a couple of stress tests with negative results. So no follow up was necessary. I can say since I have been on Cpap, I haven't felt any irregular beats and feel that they were mostly caused by stress and sleep apnea. So do have it checked out and be glad it was found but like Julie said it might not be dire.
