Thanks to CPAPtalk.com

Post by gasp » Tue Jun 16, 2009 1:45 pm

I just received the following message from CPAPtalk.com:

Dear gasp,
Many congratulations on your birthday and have a great day !!
--
cpaptalk.com

Wow, another year on XPAP! My birthday with cpaptalk is the day I was 'born' into XPAP therapy. This makes two years I've been able to breath during the night, feel awake during the day, and have known so many wonderful people on this forum. It's been two years since I resented having to wear a mask and learned over this time to be thankful for XPAP therapy and that I am able to have the equipment. I recognize that some don't have the means whether by insurance, money, a home with electricity, or other reasons they can't have the therapy and I feel so grateful that I have it.

Thanks once again to everyone here who made my therapy a success. If it weren't for you (and you know who you are : ) I wouldn't have a machine that is data capable and wouldn't really know the therapy is working.

So, yeah! Happy birthday to me and all of us who are doing what it takes to hopefully have many, many more! Image

Howdy gasp,

Today has been a hard day at the office for me. Not everyone in our industry is as excited by what the internet is doing for Sleep Apnea therapy as you and I are. They can't stop the inevitable, but they can and do slow it down. It turns what should be the joyous job of helping people into a slog of red tape and negative interactions.

Congratulations on your CPAP birthday, and selfishly, thank you so much for the pick me up. You've reminded me what is important.

Johnny

Johnny - Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

If not for this forum I still wouldn't be getting the therapy I need. The information here is great but what really makes this forum what it is is the fantastic people helping each other. And none of it would have happened without your support!

I order all my goodies and supplies from CPAP.com because of the help, support and love found at cpaptalk.com. so the forum was a good business decision too.

If there is anything your members can do to help you fight the battles please let us know!

Johnny,

I view every helpful post ever made in this forum as existing because you have allowed this forum to be what it is. There have been a handful of people who have made it possible for my life to get better, and you are on that list.

The only way I know how to say "thanks" is buying my supplies from cpap.com and directing my friends there for purchases. But if you ever were, for example, to post in this forum a request, or a link to something at the cpap.com site that lets us know something more we can do (letters to appropriate entities, perhaps?), I personally would welcome the opportunity to be of further support to what you do in any way I can.

Don't let them get you down!

Happy Birthday, Gasp! A wonderful milestone.

Johnny, Just to remind you of what you're doing for so many people, here's just a little example:
Our Dentist of 15yrs hasn't seen my husband since he started cpap in Sept. When he came out to the waiting room to greet us today, he shook hands with my husband and said, "You know, I don't think I've ever seen you smile before now. In fact, I was always afraid you'd bite my hand off when I asked you to open your mouth wide. You were one big grouch". They then proceeded to exchange jokes and funny stories and I can tell you it almost brought me to tears of happiness. We have you and this support group to thank for that. And having your store makes life so much easier. Thank You.

Congrats on your CPAPtalk anniversary, gasp!

And Johnny, don't let them get you down. You provide an invaluable service to the masses with this forum, your online business, the Product Challenges, and the auction site. I have no doubt there are many thousands of messages here that echo how I feel about this place - that it literally provides the support, information and motivation necessary to make this therapy work. That's an amazing accomplishment, especially considering how lacking in those areas so many of the "professionals" in this field are.

Your "good karma" bank account is overflowing.

Johnny, you're welcome and keep the faith! I too would love to help in any way I'm able. But know this, there is NO way I'd be 100% compliant without this forum and knowing that a wonderful company is behind it! You are sooooo appreciated.

Laura, that is an absolutely adorable card! Thanks so much. You are an important part of my success and I am thankful for you. Can you believe it's been 2 years?

DoriC, sharperjudy, BleepingBeauty, thanks! : ) I look forward to getting to know you all better. I've been pretty absent since you all joined but intend to become more active again.

Appreciatively,
-Gasp
