cleaning hoses and tanks
cleaning hoses and tanks
I've tried lots of different suggested ways of cleaning my parts and pieces. The most recent has been a half teaspoon or so of Listerine total care in a couple of cups of warm water. Give it a good swish and a rinse. Smells good too.

Do whatever turns you on...Personally I think cleaning a hose is a waste of time. Many people clean their equipment and then leave it in the bathroom to dry. (The most germ filled room in the house). If you are using distilled water there are no germs in the hose. Soap and water every now and then is fine for the mask.

What is the easiest way to clean it? And where do you hang to dry if not the bathroom?
do you wipe down the masks daily?

what? the hose? as mentioned, why???KSparkles wrote:What is the easiest way to clean it? And where do you hang to dry if not the bathroom?

masks? I'd wipe my full face cushion with a dab of purell every night to get rid of facial oils from the night before, my p10 I might wipe off now and then but my nostrils aren't as oily as my cheeks, so it doesn't matter as much.
do what you want.

Re: cleaning hoses and tanks
I have not washed my hose for about 8 months, and probably never will again ... wash mask at least every month, maybe.
clean water tank after using tap water for a few days, when I run out of distilled water.

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Re: cleaning hoses and tanks
Clean the hose???
The water tank is another story. With my old S9 H5i setup I washed it every year, maybe twice on leap year. After 2 years I couldn't tell the difference between the old one and the new one.
With my PR Series 1 960 after 2 or 3 months it looks like it's been through a war, even after 3 spins through the dishwasher.
It seems there may be a difference between the stainless steel tank and the plastic with aluminum hot plate.

Re: cleaning hoses and tanks
I wash every few weeks when it starts to smell like bad breath or in this case like dust from the cabin. I've always washed the hose too, never thought about it. Everything goes right back on the machine and let it run a few minutes. Sorry guys. I don't wash daily but at least once a month. Come on now! Please tell me yall wash your sheets now and then too. I change the filter too! Well, I washed it because I'm always losing them but I would have!

Re: cleaning hoses and tanks
There's no need to wash the hose. Not unless you come across wildlife in there. Really!

Re: cleaning hoses and tanks
The cat looked at me funny because I snorted. I wont be washing my hose ever again. Im sticking with the regular, once in a while, when I get around to it, tank and mask cleanings though. I might even one day find the 5 packages of filters Im sure are around here somewhere.considering how seldom I sleep in side my cpap hose, I'm not really getting your point.

I'm all for swishing out the tank on a regular basis, before it gets grody, and changing filters when they stop looking clean.Ineedanap wrote:The cat looked at me funny because I snorted.
