Rested Gal,
I'm wondering if you could send me a picture of how you have rigged the Aeiomed Aura, the most recent rigging.
Having lots of problems with it coming off of my head while sleeping. Tried the pantihose, need more help. Maybe a different color pantihose?
Thanks

LOL, Heidi! ok, here's a picture of the way I rig both pairs of straps I put on my Aura to hold it steady:

You can use any material that's soft and comfortable. Be careful to not pinch the silicone near the nose if you tie something around it down very low, as I do. I make a fairly open loop down there at the nasal area. Be sure whatever knot you tie down there won't allow the loop to close more when you pull the other ends behind your neck.
I use velcro straps off a Breeze for the eyebrow level straps. In the back, I pass the eyebrow level added straps up over the back of the Aura's regular bottom strap. The lower regular strap of the Aura is below the prominent bone on the back of the head. My makeshift velcro eyebrow level straps end up slightly above (crossing up over) the Aura's regular bottom strap in the back. The "crossing over" in the back seems to keep both in place better - the Aura's regular bottom strap and my eyebrow level addition cradling the prominent bone on the back of the head.
The lowest "added straps" (down at the nasal pillow corners) just go straight back behind my neck. I tie those lower added straps back there in what's called a "double starting knot". That's all. I don't make a bow out of it or even a real knot. I tie the ends in a "double starting knot" as shown by clicking the link here:
Double Starting Knot
I had no idea what a flat knot (that I never even thought of as a "knot" of any kind) was called until I did a Google search just a few minutes ago, Heidi. I came across that link while trying to figure out how to describe the way I tie the lower straps behind my neck so that they "hold" fine, yet are easy to undo in the morning....and with no hard knot behind my neck. It has a name! A "double starting knot."

to rested gal
Aren't you clever! wish I could use nasal pillows. I'm told the FF masks leave dents in the face.

Some masks were more than likely designed by the marquee de sade...photogal wrote:Aren't you clever! wish I could use nasal pillows. I'm told the FF masks leave dents in the face.
