Woke up this morning to........

Woke up this morning to........NOTHING!

Well, I joined the ranks of the "Power Outage-Oppressed Pappers" this morning. Or, "POOP" for short.

At 2:30, I woke up and there was no air pressure.....I was just breathing normally. Looked up at where the clock should be and didn't see the digital display.....flipped the switch on my nightlight.....that confirmed it. Grabbed one of the flashlights I have on my nightstand and got up. Went outside and noticed it was our whole section of town.....street lights were still lit on the other side of the highway but not on the block behind us.....so, I called the power company, not knowing if anybody else had reported it.
They finally got it back on for good about 4:30.....and so, my day continues.....

Good thing it's Friday......I DID manage to get a little over 4 1/2 hours of sleep (at least it was long enough to be compliant), so I'll make up the difference tonight.

That's why I love my little Evo Everest(Polaris TR), I just lift the hose off my Remstar Auto, place it on the Evo, hit the button, and right back to sleep.

Rub it in, rub it in .....

Beatchya, Den! I got 5 1/2 hours sleep - thanks to ... waking up and NOT being ABLE to get back to sleep. Slept 2 hours, up 2 hours, back to sleep, up ... at least we had 'lectricity and I was able to "play" on the 'puter until I was able to sleep again.

what do you do for that? Can the cpaps run on a computer battery backup for any length of time or do you have to get a special battery pack?
Live life to the fullest. This is NOT a dress rehearsal. Enjoy life. You are dead a long time.

Well, we live in a rural area, really low ground, sump pump and a chest freezer as well as a double wide refrigerator. Usually plenty of venison, perch, blue gills, etc. in them. So - we have two generators, a portable on wheels and a stationary next to the house.

We lose power, I wake up, I wake hubby, hubby goes and flips the switch from power company to generator and goes and fills and starts the generator. I go back to sleep.

Hubbies can come in so handy at times. Did I mention hubby was an electrician in his former life?? (Retired)
