At some point you really must ask yourself why your initial postings have only had one reply.

Then you should review the thread on humor vs silliness.

You were not in the chat lounge last night when someone suggested this was more appropriate for a kindergarten project.

But I will get some inevitable arrows from the one or two for being insensitive or arrogant or cranky.

The other 1800 that did not reply should tell you more.
I could be wrong
Another BUMP.

Tom, it might be nicer to just not protest. Especially now that it's just one thread. It's really not hurting anyone or anything now.

But...

Post by t-bone » Tue Jan 30, 2007 8:30 pm

tomjax doesn't understand "nice," nor does he understand humor, nor even the need for silliness in adult lives. He's yet to say anything productive in any thread related to this contest (which, by the way, was NOT birshell's idea, but came from GoofyUT).

And to quote Wulfman's post on another topic:

"We have to look for any amount of humor we can find in this (serious) affliction." (with apologies to Den, and some major snippage)

In general, I tend to ignore posts he's made. What little factual information he offers is buried in rude, obnoxious, or otherwise pedantic drivel. I come here for positive energy, not down-putting of others.

As for the small number of replies, it could be that folks are working on their creative projects before submitting contest entries.

Lighten up. Have fun for a change, unless "having fun" to you means putting down others. If that is the case, go away. We don't want nastiness here.

There is a very painless way of getting this thread to die. If none of us respond by adding posts, especially "bump" posts, it will quietly disappear into the realm of inactive posts.

I would like to ask everyone, especially myself, not to add any more posts to this thread.

John

John,

The point is, we don't want this thread to die. That's why we keep giving it gentle "bumps" to remind everyone about the mask contest. We will stop "bumping" it when the contest is over. Thank you though for your "bump"!

Mary
