ResMed / ResScan question
ResMed / ResScan question
Twice now either my VPAP Auto 25 Bi-level or ResScan software has missed about 1.5 hours (at the beginning of the night) of AHI info. It records everything else. Has this happened to anybody else? Anybody know of a fix?
BTW, ResScan version is 3.13.
Thanks

Re: ResMed / ResScan question
You've probably already thought of this, but ResScan won't show anything in the AHI graph until an event happens. Check for your first "Event" and see if the AHI graph records that. If the graph becomes active at that point, I don't think you have anything wrong. If the AHI graph misses something from the "Event" graph, I think that then there would be a glitch.
I also think that a lot of folks don't have events for the first hour or so as they drift off into deeper sleep.

Re: ResMed / ResScan question
I don't have ResMed machine but I often have nothing showing of importance during the first 90 minutes or so of the night. It is because nothing much happens until I get to REM sleep (where it is common for events to be worse) and REM normally starts to cycle about 90 minutes into sleep cycle.
Perhaps you just don't have anything to report event wise until then. Would make sense especially if your sleep study said that you were worse in REM.
Same thing might be said if you are worse on your back and start out on your side and then move to supine after about 90 minutes.

OT but how are you doing with new vpap? Sounds like you had some adjustment at first. I'm curious. I go to NM next week.

When you get there, Bright Choice, be sure to tell them you want them to email you a copy of the "Polysomnogram Report."
Be sure they understand you are talking about the full Polysomnogram Report that includes charts and graphs such as the "Hypnogram." Not just the doctor's "Summary Report" although you want that, too.

Say, BC, while you're out there, can you ask a question for me?Bright Choice wrote:Thanks Rested Gal - good point.rested gal wrote:When you get there, Bright Choice, be sure to tell them you want them to email you a copy of the "Polysomnogram Report."

Maimonides is big on titrating out everything, including some things that aren't even there (long story).
Anyway, while RERAs are an event that are already quite subtle, they carry it one step further and score RERSCAs (Respiratory Effort-Related Sub-Cortical Arousals). These events do NOT have associated EEG changes.
So my question is, "What specifically are the criteria for scoring RERSCAs?"
Further, that value adds to a parameter called "Research RDI">
Whose Research Definition does that refer to?
