Used the reptile heat cord and no rain out!

Post by markinOz » Wed Jun 11, 2008 5:41 pm

Yesterday I received the 15w heat cord which I bought on line for $25 including delivery. Hooked it up and cranked up the humidifier to 4. No rain out. Not a drop.

Thanks to all that posted this fantastic solution. Just proves how good this forum is. Remember, information is power. With it we can make our own choices for our own treatment and all lead better lives.

BTW for the Aussies on the forum - Go the Maroons!!!

Awesome, thanks for the info. I was thinking about ripping the demister out of my fairmont ghia since that does such a good job at the touch of a button...

I have been using one for several months now, and I just love it! I have retired it for the summer, but it is in "waiting"...

I have been using the Reptile Cable for months now. I have turned up my heated humdifier full blast and I still get no rainout. I make sure to unplug it every morning so that I don't burn down the house. I am not sure that it would be for everyone, due to it being jury-rigged and not approved by the FDA, but I personally like it.

I have no idea what a "reptile heat cord" is but I already have the Sleepzone heated hose anyway. But what really caught my eye was the above quote.....I'm with ya on that one mate!! Go Queenslander!!!

As a saftey precaution, I have a timer on mine, it turns it off at my normal wake up time.
