CPAP Travel Tip
CPAP Travel Tip
I park my carry-on suitcase right next to my hotel bed, extend the collapsible handle fully and tie my cpap hose to it with a piece of ribbon I bring along. It's the perfect height and it's always there wherever I go.
WOW! What a great idea! And sooo simple.

wheeled baqgs, batteries, and airplanes
Regarding carring back up batteries in a wheeled bag.
There are U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) hazardous materials regulations that apply to the carrying of a sealed lead acid battery, considered "non-spillable batteries", onto a commercial aircraft. There may be additional TSA restrictions on carrying sealed lead acid batteries onto aircraft.
Batteries that contain lithium have their own restrictions.
I would carry sealed lead acid (Gel Cell) batteries in checked luggage rather than in carry on luggage.
The applicable regulation concerning sealed lead acid batteries is 49 CFR 173.159(d).
Most small sealed lead acid batteries that would be carried by passengers are exempted from most of the onerous requirements of these regulations.
In order to be exempted from the requirements, the following conditions must be met:
• When offered for transport, the batteries are protected against short circuits and securely packaged as required by 49 CFR 173.159(d) (1);
• The batteries and outer packaging are marked with the words NONSPILLABLE BATTERY as required by 49 CFR 173.159(d) (2);
• The batteries comply with the vibration and pressure differential tests found in 49 CFR 173.159(d) (3) and “crack test” found at 49 CFR 173.159(d) (4).

Congratulations!
That is an absolutely BRILLIANT double use of a suitcase. You deserve the Lab Rat Award for that one!

Speak loudly, your post will have to go back eleven years for them to hear you, more if they died.
