Hard case sought
Hard case sought
I’m going to be doing a lot of traveling and would like find a hard case (not fabric) for my airsense 10 with humidifier and hose, mask, powersupply. Any suggestions?

Re: Hard case sought
I see how tiny tech is making roomy camera cases scarce,
but tool cases and tackle boxes can be found in the usual locations.
Some hard sided suitcases are still made, but spendy!
Take a tape measure along--INSIDE dimensions are key.
If you are wanting a hard case in order to check your cpap--forget it.
Cpap is a free carry-on (US airlines), and baggage handlers can be very destructive.
Just try to replace a broken cpap 900 miles from home--on a weekend!

Check out Pelican cases @ https://www.pelican.com/us/en/products/cases. I use them for delicate instruments and they work fine. They have foam that can be customized to the size of the contents.

Check out SKB Cases: https://www.skbcases.com/

I would recommend getting all the CPAP gear you are going to bring together and place it as you would in a case. Leave room for padding in between items. Are you going to bring a spare mask, hose, power supply? Then rough measure your dimensions (length, width, height) and go to the site and see what cases are available to fit your needs. You can order Cubed Foam for the interior so you can custom create the spaces inside the case for your gear.

But whatever you do, NEVER trust those baggage handlers!
Carry-on only--ALWAYS!

I love that trilogy of videos. Hard to believe it was 14 years ago.

Re: Hard case sought
Look at the Harbor Freight cases little lighter then the pelican but rugged enough for most items have the pluckabl foam, get an orange one for the medical stuff

When you travel enuff you'll understand that checked luggage doesn't always go where you are going. IF you need or want your cpap with you on the other end then you will carry it on.
As mentioned medical equipment doesn't count towards your carry-on limit. Search tsa.gov for more info. Print anything you are concerned about in case you meet an agent having a bad day.
You can carry distilled in your checked luggage and a small amount in the cpap bag. I use a wheeled carry-on suitcase for all my medical supplies. Esp. today with spotty distilled shortages I like to bring enuff for 3 - 4 days. You will get comments about using tap or bottled water but it is you that has to clean it. Plus some regions of this country have some pretty nasty water.

While a medical equipment tag is nice it is not required. Look on the bottom of the equipment for the imprint that says " Medical Equipment" if anyone has questions which are rare today since cpap equipment is very common.
I always include my cell phone on any luggage tags and another on a paper inside the luggage.
IF you insist on a hard case Pelican cases are good as are the cases from Harbor Freight. Amazon and Walmart will also have hard cases even some Pelicans.
