Homemade hose clip?

Post by wahooker » Sun Sep 24, 2006 6:46 pm

I seem to recall that someone had good instructions on how to make a Hose Clip for attaching your hose to the bed. Anyone have a link to that?

(I was draping the hose over the post of the bed, but we are buying a new bed w/o posts, so that's not possible anymore.)

I made my own clips. I bought 2 sided velcro at the hardware store (you can also get it at craft stores) one side is the sticky part one side is the smooth part. It comes all cut and in assorted colors. Then go to a stationery store(staples, office max, some craft stores), and get Name tag clips. They have the little metal clip with a plastic piece attached. The plastic has a snap on it. Put the plastic part of the clip thru the hole in the velcro.
If you look them up on ebay you will see exactly what it should look like. The cost came to about 20 cents each for me.

If you shop around you can get the stuff on sale. The first ones I made were about $1 ea. I found the velcro in a dollar store last time I made some.

No problem just finding your lists and including them! I was surprised I got here first, but figured you were busy.

I'm only as good as my searches, so thanks for adding the last one. bdp522 has one that is simple, cheap, colorful, and elegant. Good catch, RG.

I bought a 3M hook with 'Command Adhesive' from Wally World. I attached it to the top rail of my head board, then stole a scrunchy (sp?) from my wife and... voila!!! I run the hose through the scrunchy and then hang the scrunchy from the hook. The hook has not budged in over a year and I love the freedom of not having to worry about hose position while I sleep.

Incidently, I wear the breeze headgear which runs the hose over my head and out the back anyway. I'm not sure how well this would work for those with more traditional masks.

Here is a link to the 3M hooks:
