Did you have them before CPAP?

I get morning headaches, they are larely due to TMJ/grinding, etc. in my case. Or if I didnt drink a lot of water the day before. CPAP should help, not cause, headaches, if I am correct.

My cpap made my headaches go away--like the first day!
I wonder if your headgear might be too tight or you are getting stiff from moving less in your sleep.
You could also be tensing your neck and jaw from the new experience. Ow!

May be a sign your therapy is not optimal.
If you're using a nasal mask and losing (leaking) your therapy air out your mouth during the night, that could be a reason.
Pressure too low.
Pressure range to wide (ineffective therapy and pressure changes bouncing you out of the much-needed sleep stages).
Somehow re-breathing CO2. (pressure too low to clear CO2)

You haven't told us much of anything about your equipment and therapy, so without having any clues to go on, it's hard to guess.

I was waking with headaches early on. Ask DME & or Doctor to run an over-night Pulse Ox study. I did found my Oxygen levels were still not very good. I was placed on Oxygen at night with CPAP and that has solved the problem.

What kind of headaches?

Are they new or did you have them before starting therapy?

Lots of things can cause headaches. One of them is untreated or undertreated OSA. But a whole lotta other things can also trigger morning headaches and the key to figuring out what's causing them is a detailed description of when they started and how they feel and how long they last each day.

And don't forget to ask an actual doctor (neurologist) to investigate. Unheard of I know, but WTH

You are certainly not alone. I have had a headache every morning since going on going on PAP six years ago.

That sounds terrible to endure. I hope you find some relief and maybe some answers on this forum. Luckily, even if I have a crappy night, I rarely wake up with a headache, even if I do sometimes get fragmented sleep, too much REM, occasional nocturnia or other forms of sleep disturbance. I do exercise a lot, try to eat right with not much processed foods and have fairly decent sleep hygiene (no alcohol or food near bedtime), but I don't know if that explains my lack of headaches. Maybe it just comes down to body chemistry or something like that.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I've had awful morning headaches since I was a teen and was hoping that CPAP would help. After a few months on CPAP and still getting headaches, I went to a Neurologist. I was diagnosed with Migraines. Wish I had gone to a Neuro years ago, but that's another thread.

I now take meds for my Migraines and between the meds and CPAP, my Migraines are a lot better - not gone for sure, but better. I encourage you to see a Neurologist.

I don't think so CF. Probably just dealing with headaches and life in general. Cut some slack, if you don't mind and hold back on slinging the T word. Just a suggestion because that can be hurtful if unwarranted.
