Agree. Sounds like it could be rather uncomfortable. I use the Swift FX and don't have any issue with the head straps. Will buy this one with my next replacement and give it a try. It comes with the head straps so if is doesn't work out, I'm not out the money.

I occasionally need to troubleshoot software in an area that requires wearing a standard face mask - one of the mask choices has an elastic strap that goes around the ear. After wearing one of them for a few minutes, I am sure the ear things on this mask would bother me. Based on how many in this area wear the masks with the ear strap, I am sure some will love this mask as well. If the ear things didn't bother me and I could use nasal pillows, I would try this mask.

I wonder if the Swift FX pillows fit in it.

Ah man, I just got my once every 6 months mask from DME 2 weeks ago.
If the same pillows fit...maybe all we need is the over the ear things. Of course they say the side strap is a bit lighter also. Looks like I will be EBay shopping when this becomes more available.
I am always game for less on my face or head.

Apparently there is an attachment available (or will be soon) for those of us who already have the Swift FX.

"If you already own the the ResMed Swift Fx mask, and want to try the new “Bella”, you can buy the attachment. This is great because it will not be a big investment to try something new"

I currently use the Swift FX and it is past time for a new mask. I would love to try the Bella. It looks like it comes with both the ear straps and the usual head straps. If the ear straps prove not to be for me, I would still have a new mask. I doubt most DMEs stock it yet, but I have a call into my DME to see if they would get it.

Probably work if you got some jumbo size ears. If you got small ears and one roll over and it's probably off the ear.

Sure...but what if it does work and doesn't come off ans easily as it looks like it would? I have small ears but I am sure willing to give it a go.

Yeah but I am gutsy (big kahonies ) and willing to try something new on the chance it might be something that I would like. My gut instinct hasn't steered me wrong yet. When I first started therapy I saw the Swift LT and knew it would be the one and when they released the Swift FX I knew I would like it too.

Think I will give my DME a call...offer to demo it and offer a review. That is how I got a free Swift FX.

Edit: Called DME...of course no clue what I was talking about but he will look it up and see when he can get one for me. If all I need is the attachment shouldn't cost horribly too much.

I can see where this is not strictly for women. I'm sure there are men who use a medium pillow or smaller that would like to try it. Medium is as large as it comes with, but if you have a large pillow it will still work. Are these the same pillows that's in the regular Swift FX. I was reading this and it made me wonder. Nasal Pillow Design

The Bella nasal pillows are designed with improved support and comfort using dual-wall flaps. Side sleepers will appreciate the cushion's base that is outfitted with an integrated flexible chamber that provides stability. The flexibility accommodates movement and offers a reliable seal.
