No male actually uses Autoset 10 for her algorithm?

Post by davep700 » Thu Mar 24, 2016 11:22 am

Hello all,

I see I can get a new Autoset 10 for $700 but I know this forum strongly recommends the Autoset for HER machine, but being a male, is there any male who actually uses the 'for her' algorithm?
( So far it seems the answer is no : viewtopic/t108605/Question-for-Airsense ... Users.html)

For that matter, is there any female who uses that mode routinely?

I do. I think it's more comfortable.

I'm female, but when I used that machine I used that mode.

There were only two posts to that thread you posted the link to.

From what I've read, the machine HAS been purchased by males, whether they use that option or not.

It's like having an APAP and using it in CPAP mode. The option is STILL there to use it in a range of pressures if you wish to.

The "for her" model is being promoted all over at about a $300 discount from the regular model. That may account for it's recent popularity. If I was in the market, I would buy the "for her" model even if I didn't care about the algorithm. If you don't like the pink, you can buy a skin to cover it.

Note the S9 Autoset for her is pink.
The Airsense 10 Autoset for her is white with a gray floral graphic.
Skinit only offers skins for the S9, but I wish they would for my machine.

The white/grey and floral design doesn't look bad from the photo.

Initially when the AS10 came out only the "For Her" would report RERAs. Now I understand that all models report them. The "For Her" has an additional pressure algorithm in the auto-titration mode designed mainly for women. I've seen posts where men have reported that this pressure setting is actually more tolerable than the regular one. (Of course I can't find any of the links to those posts now) The "For Her"model is available in pink or an off-white, were as the "For It" model is a black and gray. Unless your blood line traces back to Martha Stewart, I don't think the color would be a deal breaker.

Note, The Airsense 10 has the unique "for Her" program. The pink S9 is functionally the same as the gray Autoset.

I have the "For Her" and use the "For Her" algorithm. Same price as the "For It"....so why not get the extra algorithm to try. It is there if you want to use.
Given enough sleep....I could rule the world.

But the texture is not very smooth, making it a crud magnet.

That's not how they are made.
