no double post prompt...no prompt that someone has post something and that person was me...that seems to be fixed

But when I go to delete the test post it still tries to delete twice. So that hasn't bee fixed. Not a big deal

Normally when I delete something it asks to confirm and I say yes and it does it.
Now when I say yes it takes a lot longer and then I get a message "so and so doesn't exist'....so it got deleted and then it tried to delete it again and the second try tells me it doesn't exist...so it is still double trying.

Speed seems better though except for when I did the delete and it tries that second time and it's already deleted.

Remains to be seen if I get the annoying robot thing still. Haven't been on long enough.

Okay, some experimenting with the double delete thing...when I delete someone else's post it does it immediately like it should after confirmation. No message as to it not existing and it does it swiftly.
When I delete my own test post it takes a long time and I end up with the message "this post doesn't exist" thing. So for me anyway...still a little bug there but not that big of a deal.

No more I am not a robot prompts....yet.

No more losing my "stay logged in" either. I was having some of that this past weekend but that could have also been from IT working on things over the weekend.

Speed is greatly improved both with changes between pages and posting of my replies and having them show up and no longer getting the "someone has posted something" message to see that it was me who posted.

I have not yet tested posting a new topic to see if it gets doubled but I am assuming it won't. Will do that test later.

Ooops....MrCanoehead has a double post reply in this thread. I have my doubts that he submitted twice but I have no way to know for sure. The timing of the posts seem to go with the double posts I have seen in the past when others had it happen and I would remove the duplicate...about 3 minutes or so after first one.

viewtopic.php?p=1368991#p1368991

Can some others also maybe experiment a bit and see if they get a double post?

I will start a new topic for Experiments ...need to test the New Topic double thing anyway.
I will make it a sticky for now...and remove it later.

I have had duplicate PMs in the past but not lately. So yours today was the first. I am going to reply to yours and lets see if you get one or two.

I did send you 2 separate PMs so I would expect you to get 2. The 2 you got did they have the same content?
The content or text in each were different.

Okay thanks. I only got your one PM which ended up having 2 replies to it from me within about 15 minutes or so I guess it was.

So note to Carolyn....double PMs being received by some people with same content.

I have not personally had this happen to me since the reboot but I did have it happen before. It was random though. Not every PM was a double. It was a very rare thing and I normally get lots of PMs every day.

interesting. i know less than zip about forum software. i've sent two private messages today, neither double posted. so it's, as you say, not happening to everyone.

will let you know if it happens to me.

going back through the problems, i'm just happy the forum is back to it's speedy self and i didn't have to put up with the sluggishness.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.
