Encore Pro Software

Post by frostman » Thu Sep 01, 2005 7:12 am

OK, I admit it, a dumb question is coming your way, but i remember way back a great teacher telling me no question is dumb.

I finally got encore pro software, Derek's myencore and a smart card reader. I finally got the computer to recognize the card reader I think because when I go into encore and click on the review smardcard thing it shows my card number and ID, but that's it. How do I actually download data??? Do you do all your setup in encore and then use dereks software simply as an interpreter????

Make sure you enable the "Don't delete after download", if you want to save the data on the card for your sleep lab. Its a registry entry that must be added for you to have the option at the end of the download. Hopefully its in the link ozij posted here for you, but don't forget about it. I did when I first got my software.

Getting started with Encore Pro

Post by lferrel » Fri Aug 04, 2006 3:02 am

Hi,

It does sound like your card reader is working. Now, create a patient profile for yourself. Once you have that done, click on your profile in the patient list. It will then open up a patient page which will include a download button. Click on it, then click on Smart Card. It may tell you the patient profile does not match the card ID, just click on Okay and it will likely, next, take you to a provider window. Ignore it and click on okay. The dowload should start. Once the download is complete, click on the dowload, and choose Full Data. You should get a full window with several pages of reports on your data.

I am interested in getting the M series APAP with A flex but would need the software. Can anyone tell me how to get this software (encore 1.8 I believe)?

Several online retailers have the software (version 1.6i). Version 1.8 got pulled and is no longer available to the end user. Every now and then you can find software on eBay-- there have been a couple auctions up within the last several weeks going for between $150 and $250 (there is one that closes tonight that is currently at $175 or something).

No.....that's WHY it says it needs the 1.8.

It's a self feeding, frenzy. the latest products, need the latest support, sit and smell the money. if you buy into that sort of thing. I'll settle for good treatment at a more reasonable price. Jim

Flylow..........

If you can't easily obtain 1.8 on the black market, you might try making a very nice....but very firm.....request of your doctor that he obtain a copy for you. Naturally, you're willing to pay.......a reasonable price.......say, $150 or so. I think I paid $99 for mine just before the door closed.

If your doctor won't help you, change doctors....until you find one that will.
A doctor who wants to help his customers will have no problem with your request.......but one with the "god complex" who wants to dominate his customers will blow you off. Run from guys like that.....They'll help you die early.

Hassle for the doctor but I think mine would do it. I don't think she has the god complex.
