any amphibian models? maybe with some nice flies silk screened on? I'm sure frogs have different breathing patterns, don't you?
Well, it does have some flower leaves on it for chunkyfrog to perch on.

Can we have a pool on who will be the first of use "old timers" to get the new S10?
I hope the breathing sensor and "automatic ramp" can be turned off.
Those would drive me crazy. My favorite guilty pleasure in the mornings is to wake up with my machine pumping cool air at my face. I wake up so calm and comfortable (in direct contrast to how I woke up when I was untreated), and I just love laying there for a while feeling very cozy and relaxed.

Looks like the AirSense 10 For Her might do that.
From ResMed's website:
"A gender-specific algorithm
The pioneering new algorithm used in the AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her works by increasing sensitivity to flow limitation and optimizing the response to these events. By responding to each flow-limited breath, the algorithm helps provide comfortable therapy for women."

I see the current Climateline tubing will be replaced by the Climateline Air.
Did anyone think for a moment you could use the old heated hose?

As for that pool on first to get one, well my money's on Pugsy, I'll bet she's gonna be curious.

Anyone heard what the price for this machine is going to be? I see they've cut the price of the S9 AutoSets on our sponsors web site cpap.com.

Nope, I won't be getting one unless I stumble on one somewhere that is so cheap I can't pass it up.
I like the S9 Adapt ASV machine I am using and I don't really want to go back to APAP.
It likely will be some time before the other models in the VPAP series are released and even then they will be pricey and I don't have pockets deep enough to go that route. I am a bargain basement shopper and it's going to be a little while before these new models will filter down to the secondary market where I could afford them.
So someone else will have to be the guinea pig.

LOL... Pugsy was going to be my vote too
I just got enough pennies together to purchase a spare Sp Vpap auto from secondwind & my original machine is 2 years old
A new machine is not in my future for quite some time.

From what I've read about this new S10, including what is posted on the Resmed web site, I have to say that I'm disappointed. From my perspective there is very little changed in this latest autopap. I had hoped that they would knock our socks off with some new feature that we can't live without - maybe something as revolutionary as the vast improvements made to humidification systems in the past few years.
Unless you think the revised form-factor (e.g. the shape) of the apap is a major step forward, there's few and only minor improvements for the user. In fact, I'd say that the biggest change is the wireless function which likely won't be used beyond the insurance-compliance period and is only an aid to the DME while at the same time it reduces privacy for the user.
I guess we can expect similar from Philips-Respironics and other manufacturers in their upcoming new releases.
Have we really reached the pinnacle for xpap machine design and sleep apnea therapy?

(composing a list of questions for the DME)
--hoping he will let me read the provider manual.
(maybe I'll bring cookies for the staff.)

Agreed -- what a total letdown! Yes it looks better and is smaller, but no this is far from a pinnacle from a consumer's perspective. Yes, the new design is nice and it's angled so you can see the display better, and yes there are a tad more tech improvements -- the cellular data link is very interesting and I would like to know how that works, i.e., what carrier, and is there a paid subscription or free data transmission for life courtesy of ResMed, like a Kindle? I am all for it, not having to mail a chip in to the DME. Realtime data is easier faster and cheaper.
I cannot tell from reading the info whether the blower or motor is the same or a newer, better or quieter system. It still only has one filter, but at least there is a cover to secure it.
That said, the new unit doesn't include a clock/alarm!!! Or MP3/Radio feature. Oh my how long have I been praying for a clock radio on my cpap machine so I can have one less thing cluttering up my nightstand! Ughhhhh! Plus, I'd rather the water chamber be concealed. And, still, the hose outlet is still straight out the back, fixed and still has no swivel. Big fail.
Major letdown. PR had better do better, and soon!
And DeVilbiss, what do you have to say for yourself?????? Hmmmmm? You still in business???? Heated hoses? Full LCD displays? Bringing anything to the game?

The ramp can be chosen to be off, 0-45 minutes, or auto.

I don`t think it is smaller, though the odd shape makes it hard to measure. Certainly the built in humidifier makes it over twice as big as the S9 pump alone. When I travel away from air conditioning I leave the humidifier at home, but that appears impossible with the S10.

Has anyone heard anything about pricing yet? Specifically price from cpap.com, since its so new, when they get it I assume they'll probably have the best price.
My sleep doc wants me to use PR machine only (since that's the software his office uses). He got quite pissed when I got the F&P Icon a few years back but I only used it for a few months before getting my PR machine. I've been wanting to try ResMed technology, so if the price isn't terribly high & if a few other financial pieces drop into place, I'm thinking of getting one. There is still that little voice that says 'wait til all the bugs are worked out first' so I'm on the fence, but really want to try one.
I'm not nuts about how the water tank is attached, & someone mentioned the hose comes from the back without a swivel. I can add a swivel piece, but that seems like a design flaw. I guess if I look further there are several other design flaws. But I'm quite interested in the 'For Her' female breathing technology. Oh well, nothing's perfect. I'll post if I get one.
