Has anyone had experience using Scunci wide stretch headwraps? They are marketed as headbands for girls. I have read that these can be used to keep the mouth closed by wearing around head from ears to mouth. They are 2.5” wide. Amazon.com : Scunci Effortless Beauty W ... sonal Care

I still prefer a DIY Chin-up strip. It is tape, but allows the mouth to open, but awkwardly.

Do you use a nylon or elastic bike strap?
I assume your question was directed to Sir NoddinOff since you quoted him.
Don't expect a response. He passed away a few years back.
Just wanted to let you know.

hope this helps

I am a mouth breather.
Was given a FF mask and like you HATED the cotton batten mouth.
Someone gave me elsewhere, not here, some bad advice and told me to use a nasal mask
so I did and LOVED it, no more cotton mouth.
I woke up with a normal mouth and assumed I was keeping my mouth closed

ONCE I DID and saw my AHI in the 2-3 range, all the way down from 57-75, I promise you that the dry mouth suddenly became a minor issue to deal with

I've seen someone else here mention putting a plastic cup with a built in bendable straw beside her bed, not near the machine though, in case it gets spilled and a quick little sip will help that
Fellow mouth breather here, just moved to a super dry city and had to do the cup with straw you just mentioned. I took it a step further and now use the bottle from a mango beverage I bought at a Korean hotpot restaurant. Yes it's for adults, yes it's basically a baby bottle, no I'm not sorry. 🤣

Cute. And just a teensy bit kinky . . .

I have a chin strap question. (I use nasal pillow mask and plan to check out the bike cuff). The only thing that has worked 100% for me is an eye mask with an elastic plus Velcro strap. How I imagine this works is that I open my mouth and the elastic snaps it back closed.
I cannot completely freeze my jaw in place with a cap style without triggering nerves. I keep trying other styles. Is anyone aware of a chin strap with a fair amount of stretch? The best for me so far has been the ResMed but nothing works like that eye mask and I worry about the day it finally become unfit to wear. Thanks in advance!
