New autoset in hand. The only problem now is my insurance has already paid 2 months on the returned auto escape and I may have to pay the last 2 payments of my autoset out of pocket.

DO NOT let them bamboozle you into paying for 2 months of rent out of pocket. Your insurance company paid for 2 months rental of an EO601 machine. You STILL have an E0601 machine. THEY gave you the WRONG machine, not the one the doctor ordered. It's their problem, not yours.
Ask your doctor and your insurance company to intervene if they play billing games with you. It might help now, while the incident is still fresh, to get your doctor to write a note in your record about them giving you something other than what he prescribed--and get a copy of that.

+5!!! This is the DME's screw up, don't let them pass the buck off to you!

If you read the entire thread, you'll see that the new machine was provided by a different DME from the first machine. The new DME didn't do anything wrong, so it is hard to understand why they should be out of pocket. The first DME should refund the money to the insurer, but I'm sure we all realize that they won't.
