But it is securely placed under the clear plastic cover.
If it is a sticker over the REAL name--(never seen that--YET!);
Pretty sure something funny going on!
Resmed is
pretty good about fairly clear names, however, there are at least 2 different models that have an older and a newer model with the *same name* over the power button, the only way to tell them apart is to check the id plate on the back.

If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check for yourself.
This is good advice. My DME (the only option I have is Crapria) lies to me consistently. If I'm getting anything, I go to the manufacturer's website first and always insist on getting ONLY that part number. Don't accept anything that isn't what you want. They never take anything back. I find them to be a useless extra step in the process, but unavoidable. Try not to expect them to help in any way other than to obtain the equipment and supplies exactly as you specify.
When it comes to understanding apnea and maximizing therapy, I get great help on this forum, from any number of experts!

jShuler, what happened? Did you go back and confirm the machine was an AutoSet? Are you working on getting an AutoSet? I want to make sure we didn't scare you away from getting ANY machine!

Don't get your preferred mask from that DME. IF HE DOES order one for you, he won't be ordering replacement cushions for you. It will be total pain. I had a DME that just plain refused to order my mask of choice. Changed DME's. Now I get replacment mask every 3 months with 2 replacement cushions like clock work (they do call and confirm that I need them). New headgear every 6 months. Enough filters to change every 2 weeks. New climateline hose every 3 months and new humidifier reservoir every 6 months.
Don't settle for a DME that only supplies your machine . It is so much better to have a DME that takes care of all your CPAP-related needs.

My DME (that took me weeks to find) got me the machine I wanted, let me choose the mask and said he will be sending me extra pillows, hoses and filters in the mail. And said that this will happen every 3 months. Said he will call first and make sure this is what I want and if I want to try a different mask at that time I can.
