hmm, my post seems to have been misplaced, I'll repost it here... wouldn't want one of stevo's trademark incessant questions to go unanswered!

why don't you try reading in the wiki? wiki/index.php/AHI

I'm onto your trolling ways, "stevoreno", I looked up some of your old posts, both in this, and your previous id, and see that you've got a history of playing this game, asking the same questions over and over, appearng to learn nothing, doing no research of your own, basically being a brick wall.

I encourage everyone to read up on 'stevoreno' and 'stevoreno_55' before wasting any more time on him...

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=30245&p=260052#p260052

note that he's in here now acting like he's never heard of bipap/bilevel, and yet there he is in 2007 talking about having met up with his doctor where his doctor suggested bilevel... hmmm.

I'm sure there's plenty more entertainment from ol stevoreno out there...

he has also deleted quite a few posts in the "Spam Reporting and Abuse Policy" thread also
and will prolly delete this one as soon as he sees it
if you get an email notice there is a new post but cant find it he has deleted it before you could get to it.

Someone deleted the third post I made here.

But OK, it doesn't matter to me. Goodbye Stevoreno.

someone should just delete this whole thread

too bad they can't refund the time stevoreno has wasted asking the same questions over and over and playing dumb as a stump.

what kind of twisted person gets joy out of preying on those that are trying to be helpful to others?

What's the difference between a BIPAP/Bi-Level machine "with" a back-up rate(?) and one "without" ? Will I need a machine "with" or "without"? Enlighten me.
A Bilevel WITH a back up rate is a fancier machine than a Bi-level WITHOUT a back up rate.

A PR BIPAP ST or a Resmed VPAP ST allows the clinician to set up a "back up" respiratory rate: If that rate is set to 15 breaths per minute, the machine expects to see the start of an inhalation every 4 seconds. If an inhalation does not start within 4 seconds of the last inhalation, the machine will attempt to trigger an inhalation by cycling to the IPAP pressure even though the machine has not detected an inhalation. The machine will cycle between IPAP and EPAP in (roughly) 2 second intervals as long as it cannot detect the beginning of patient initiated inhalations and exhalations.

A bi-level without a back up rate cannot attempt to trigger inhalations.

Stevoreno_55 wrote:So I will not be needing a machine with a "back-up rate"; just a "fixed" BIPAP is what you're saying.
what you need can't be fixed by any kind of breathing machine.

Steve your little halo friend has twice deleted this from the post ""How Slow of Pulse is Too Slow?"
Last time it was Deleted from between Old Lincoln and Julie's last post in the thread.
What do you think he is trying to hide?
