Re: Rape topic?

Very articulate post, jnk, and obviously well thought out and structured.
Of course I disagree with most of what you said, but rather get into a point-by-point rebuttal let me just say this: rape is a very serious charge that carries equally serious implications for the accused. At this point names have not been named but the clinic in question has been outed, so it's not a stretch to say that parties involved would be easy to identify. Given that, coupled with the manner of the OP's post and questionable circumstances as related (strapped down?) I personally think it would be indecent not to question the facts. Many here have expressed the same opinion.
You are of course welcome to maintain your own opinion, but I see nothing about questioning the facts to be in any sense prejudicial or indecent in any way. As far as sending a message to a lurker about how people here treat those making incoherent or disjointed claims, I think the message could easily be that this is a good place to find gullible people for said lurker to exercise their craft if they are so inclined. It has always shocked me at the number of trolling and baiting posts that seem to find their way onto this board. It would concern me more that a lurker might potentially mistake some of these posts for some of the incredibly knowledgeable and helpful posts that form the backbone of this fine board.
And I think you'll find that people posting about masks, pressures and the like are typically not delving into controversial enough issues to generate satisfying results to your average troll.
Again, these are just my opinions and I'm in no way offended if you disagree.
