optlife nasal mask opinions

I'm up for a new mask in about a month and thinking about the Optlife nasal pillows because it has the built in chin strap.
I'm a heavy mouth breather and need the chin strap even with full face masks but would prefer to not have to use a separate chin strap.
Any opinions?
Thanks.

The chin strap on the Optilife wasn't designed to keep the mouth shut as a full blown chin strap. It's actually just part of the headgear that is needed for mask stabilization and just happens to go around the chin.
For minor mouth opening/lower jaw drop it might be enough support but it is doubtful that it will give enough support or tension for serious mouth openers.
It was the first mask I ever used...I had a slight mouth opening issue back then. It didn't come close to what a real chin strap does. There's no way to add tension on the top that is needed to help keep mouth closed.
However as they say in the cpap world...YMMV.

Thanks for that input, but what does YMMV mean?

You may want to consider a soft cervical collar like this one:
This one is about 8 bucks from Amazon, but you can find them at any drug store. The collar works better for me because it holds my jaw up without additional pressure on my face. It also prevents my jaw from falling back towards my neck (blocking my throat) like a chinstrap does.

Thank you for that idea.
