Also some Vaseline can be useful (not tried it myself, but others love it).
Vaseline is petroleum jelly and it is harmful to the silicone in the masks. A better choice would be Lansinoh (lanolin) Nipple Cream sold to nursing mothers to soothe cracked nipples. Lansinoh has much the same sticky texture that Vaseline does, but won't harm the mask.

We had a thread awhile back where someone used AloeVera 100% gel that they bought at Walmart. They put some on their face where the mask would go and supposedly it worked.

Luckily, Lansinoh is a bit on the sticky side.
Since it is really viscous, it's a bit more work to apply.
Since it is lanolin, it leaves your face as soft as a baby lamb's hiney.

What was the innovative way to seal a leaky mask? I tried the link and could not find the page. Maybe they're no longer in business. I noticed your post is from 2014 it's 2016 now. I am on my second mask newly diagnosed with sleep apnea and The Mask leak. Since I'm paying for them out of my pocket I am cringing at the thought of having to buy more masks and find they don't work. So yes I want to try something that will seal the mask better so I can get a good night's sleep. If you see this post please let me know what the product was and it will be much appreciated. Thank you!

I tried the product, or something like it.
It was a dismal failure; and I imagine the company has gone belly-up.
Pad a Cheek is helpful--not because it makes a perfect seal,
but because it prevents moisture build-up, and subsequently loud rude noises,
which tend to startle one awake.
Controlling leaks is partly getting the right mask, and partly getting and keeping the seal.
Over-tightening is the main cause of leaks. Loosen the straps until it is almost too loose,
and draw it in by millimeters until it floats on air without making wrinkles in the silicone.

It seems the products are still available. I found them at http://cpapseal.com/ They have several products that may or may not have merit. The things lacking at their website that keeps me at arm's length is any information about what, specifically, their gel is made of and any information about interactions with silicone. These concerns and with nothing that relates to nasal pillows makes it a no go at this time. The only thing they offer that might have a use with the AirFit P10 is the strap pad. It might be useful if one were irritated by loose or slipping straps. Parenthetically, I do wish the P10 had some type of adjustment that wasn't too clunky - I have often though about cutting additional slits for the outboard arms to make such adjustments - has anyone tried this?

I believe I read it on here in my early time as a new-cpap users, but Badger's Balm from amazon works wonders for me. Keeps seal, and it pleasant on the skin.

JimW; adjustment on the P10:
Resmed says spread the front and back bands further apart for loose and closer together for tightening.
I gently moistened a new strap, and wrapped it really tightly around a rolled up towel to dry.
It stretched enough for me; but some folks have cut theirs apart and spliced in extra fabric.
Maybe even hook and loop tape--the headgear is hollow.

Unfortunately that are still taking people's money, ahem...still in business. I regret buying their full face gel liner. Got the small size. The product is unmanageable sticky and loses its shape, sticks to your fingers....just an absolute mess. It comes with no storage case which is a huge oversight seeing as it might as well be a magnet for dust, lint , hair and dirt. It is sold oversized and one is instructed to cut it to fit, which is necessary to keep it from poking in your eyes, and closing off your nostrils. However, if you cut it you void the possibility of getting refunded should it still not fit. As it was I experienced more not less mask leaks upon testing it. Now onto their abysmal customer service. I called them the day I received the product and never got a call back, although their message assures you they are quick to respond. I left messages for weeks. I finally got a call from a fellow who sounded like the owner. He mentioned something about email blah blah, we moved blah blah, and our phones were not in service blah, blah. I asked him for a return authorization number and an address to return it to. He would not comply. It is now three months later and they are now claiming that too much time has passed. Their return policy says only that the customer call them with in 15 days which I did, and that the product not be tampered with, which I didn't. When I told them I would be repeating my experience to anyone online who would listen, they stated that I would get a reply from their legal team, to which I said unless their crack legal is also in charge of returns, don't bother! Needless to say it is now in dispute with paypal. If I save even one person from getting into their tangled web, I will have done my good deed for the day. You're welcome.
