If you really want to try the herbal remedy, it's simple enough to do your own N=1 experiment. Take as directed while continuing with CPAP and watch your data. If, while using the herb your AHI falls to zero even when you dial the pressure down to 4 all night (or on APAP you consistently remain at four with no AHI), AND this effect is consistent over time, then you may have found the "cure" which should be confirmed with a sleep study.
If, as I suspect, it makes little or no difference on the data, or it makes the AHI worse, well then you'll know.
The WRONG way to go about this is to take the herb without using CPAP or gathering empirical evidence of its effectiveness for YOU.
True, you will be spending your hard-earned money to try it out. But when you are done you can write your own Amazon review that might be helpful to others.

Great advice Janknitz. Then when someone like me who used the search function of Amazon's reviews to find ones that are specific to my concerns, it will be very helpful. Of course, I am volunteering someone else to spend their money and not myself.

Uh, thanks for all the feedback. Sorry if it seemed a naive question. I was just diagnosed with Central and perhaps am in a bit of denial. I am struggling with these masks and am desperate to make this work and the reason I was asking is because I wanted to see if anyone knew it was a scam or if it could work for some people. Just three weeks ago I was newly retired, lost 50 pounds and looking forward to a long and healthy life….finally time to enjoy life, grandkids, travel….then boom…you no longer need your BP meds but looks like you have a rare form of sleep apnea so make this work or die. Yeah, I got sucked in by a too good to be true ad.

We all go through that. There is a thread up top about going through change and everyone goes through those stages, some of us go through a stage in 5 minutes and other in 5 months.
There are good herbal teas which will help you relax and sleep WITH your cpap machine. There is aromatherapy which help a lot of people relax with their machine too (put the oil on a cotton ball near the air intake) Herbal and alternative therapies can do a lot of good helping people cope with chronic issues and side effects of standard medical treatment.
Hopefully once you get your therapy tuned in you will end up feeling much better then you ever thought you could feel again just like I did after the first few months.

There are a bus load of us that are just retired or have recently and are on cpap.... no biggy. We adapt to the machine and carry on. After all its a sleep only thing.. and that means your afternoon nap. I have friend that has been on the hose for 10 years, still heads south for the winter and truly enjoys life. Good luck to you, heres hoping you adapt quickly and be a wonderful success story.
Cheers
Nan

I really feel sorry for the person who posted the original question about "Sleep Apnea Relief" from Amazon. This forum is dominated by a handful of users with very closed minds. I have a close friend who is having extremely good success with this product so I plan to try it myself. I guess long-term CPAP usage causes a bad case of know-it-all-itus.
I brought a couple of ideas to the table here awhile back and the same know-it-alls said I would likely die from suffocation. Instead I dropped my treated AHI from 3 or 4 or 5 to ZERO...

I thought I would try Lobelia while waiting for the sleep study with the CPAP. My first sleep study showed that I stopped breathing 25-35 times an hour. There was no obstruction so it was central sleep apnea. Between taking lobelia and sleeping under a ceiling fan, I am down to waking up short on breath about once a week.
