I've been hosed since 2006 I think it was but I sleep like a baby. Bacteria never bothered me, that I know of.
Of course, in Aridzona the air is very dry so I don't think mold is really much of a problem in the hose.
I use one of those heated hoses though.
But I HATE cleaning the damn cushions for my Quattro FX.
I was hoping this took care of that but, from what I read you still have to clean them just the same.
And I drool like crazy so the inside of my cushions gets real nasty.
Since this unit only " sterilizes " but doesn't actually clean the mask, I think I'm going to pass.

Arizona-Willie, I still highly recommend the SoClean, it has saved me a LOT of grief and I sleep better now than I ever have. I don't know why bacteria was such an issue with me, other than that I did not stick to a meticulous cleaning schedule, but I lost a lot of sleep and rest that I will never get back, because of bacteria. I also now occasionally use CPAP citrus wipes on the nose pillows that my mask uses, to minimize build-up of body oils and such. Nearly two months on and I am still getting great sleep.
As for the pressure issue, the machine doesn't know to adjust for the change caused by the SoClean adapter. The adapter just fits between your regular hose and tank. If the machine drops its pressure or volume because of the permanently-installed adapter restricting air flow, that is all that happens. It does not know the cause is other than your breathing and it does not know to further compensate.[/quote]

Same here but a bit easier with the dishwasher safe chamber.
