Dx OSA August 2013. On bi-level auto-adjusting ?PAP since Sept 2013. On 5th mask. Tonight is night #3 on Fisher & Paykel SIMPLUS large FFM. Much less strap tightness needed for seal & no more redness on bridge of nose!

My overall favorite was mask #1 which was nose pillow but I began exhaling through my mouth, which kept waking me up. Can't imagine strapping my mouth closed. Guess I've suctioned too many patients back in my EMS days

Looks like a very common problem. Odd the fitters don't use something better than eye-balling our faces.

I tried about 15 the afternoon before my titration, lying down, under pressure, and rejected all but the Comfortlite 2, which is now discontinued. I liked it alot, and used it for the first nine months.

I later moved to a similar mask, the Aeiomed Headrest, which is no longer being made because the factory burned down. I used it up until last spring, and still go back to it from time to time.

I tried the Opus 360 -- adequate, but I didn't sleep well. I hate straps across my cheeks. I tried the Swift FX which was the most horrible mask I ever tried. I still fail to understand how the FX can be popular. I slept horribly. But... different faces.

In full face, I tried the Oracle (didn't work); the Zzz-mask, which worked pretty well once I replaced its headgear with a CL2 strap, a Hybrid, which was okay, but big and clunky, and a Liberty, which I keep for respiratory infection times.

Currently, I'm using the Tap-Pap which is great, except for its issues with humidity.

I have tried Quattro FX, Quattro Air, Simplus, Swift FX, Activa LT, Swift FX Nano, and the F&P Eson. I have fought leaks of various kinds with all of them. My secret is the Ruby Red Chinstrap by Carefusion. It is the only chinstrap I can use with my two nasal masks, Nano and Eson. I also have a small square pillow to go between my neck and chin that adds support to a chin that wants to drop to my knees.
