If the Elan headgear has quick release that would be new to me and I've been using it for 8 months now. The white tabs in the photo are the velcro tabs.

I looked and looked at those pictures trying to figure out how that all fits together. I also came to the conclusion that those things I was looking at may not be quick release fasteners.
On the other hand, it appeared that it wouldn't be hard to come up with something that might work as a quick release clip with the straps and the slots on one or either side.

Why can't manufacturers make something that lasts longer? Do they just not make them to last since they know insurance will replace on a regular basis?
If you're taking the Velcro apart when you wash it.......DON'T. Or, if you feel you must, put it back together when it's being washed to keep fibers from getting into the Velcro.

Once I get my mask headgear adjustment tweaked, I hardly ever take the Velcro apart. I leave the clips in my headgear when I wash them.

I agree 100%...I have not opened the velcro on my headgear since I first started using my Quattro almost 2 years ago. When I wash the headgear (rarely) I do not open the velcro.

The Sleepweaver headgear does not have a quick release so I am forced to undo the velcro every time I take it on or off. I don't believe it would be possible to get the headgear on without undoing the velcro.

If someone is getting the Sleepweaver headgear on without undoing the velcro I would like to know. I think the headgear would stretch out if I pulled the headgear on without releasing the velcro.

What about the release clips replacements for other masks which CPAP.COM carries? Put the velcro through and clip them together.

Sounds like it might work... I'll keep the velcro closed next time I wash it.

I love my Sleepweaver Advance. After watching a Lanky Lefty video on YouTube I never take anything apart. I lift my mask from the back of my head and slide it over toward the front. When I wash it I wash the whole assembly or I just wet the nose piece and put on a drop of detergent, massage and rinse. I have one of those small portable white wire shelves for kitchen cupboards and place the mask and headgear on that to dry after squeezing in a towel. I have had no stretching after three months. I don't wear it very tight and the Advance nose piece is quite small so that may make it easier to remove.
