Equipment all set. I've downloaded SleepyHead but haven't tried it yet. I figure I'll pull my card and give it a go tomorrow morning.

Made it through the first night and, all in all, it went well. I did end up with some leaking from the top of only one nare. I thought maybe my cushion size was too small so I went from a medium to a large. That made the problem worse. I was skeptical when I switched to the small size, but that did the trick. Color me surprised. My AHI this morning was 1.24. I think I can do better than that. I'll upload my data from SleepyHead once I figure out how so maybe you folks can help me figure it out.

Can someone let me know which are the important graphs to post to get advice/input on how things are going? SleepyHead spews a lot of data (not a bad thing) and I don't want to post a bunch of irrelevant information if there are only a few graphs/charts that are actually the really important bits.

Thanks!

What I look at in SleepyHead.
Left side AHI and the event category breakdown.
Right side.. Events graph, Flow rate graph, Pressure graph if using auto adjusting pressures, Leak line graph.
You can turn off the AHI graph in Preferences/graphs tab. This will bring the 4 main graphs to almost so you can see all 4 in one glance without scrolling.
You can gently resize the graphs just a little shorter and get that 4 th graph into view. Just hover the mouse over the bottom line of the graph until you see a little short double line..then click and drag. With just a little fiddling you can have all 4 graphs the same size and in one image.

For the PR S1...I don't even look at the graphs below leak graph.

Main things I evaluate...AHI, event category breakdown....look at events graph for a pattern if there are very many events...and leak graph.
Might glance at the pressure graph activity depending on AHI and the events graph.
I don't mess with the tidal volume or those other graphs. For Newbies...stick with the basics first and then go deeper if it interests you.

Okay, I think I got this right.

Yeah, except you got the screen shot zoomed in on the time that encompasses about a minute so the bottom 3 graphs only show a minute of detail.
Need to see the entire night of flow rate and leak. Not just one minute.
But during that one minute your leak wasn't an issue.

Which version of Sleepyhead are you using?
Your graphs look "weird".
Can't put my finger on it.

If using Windows 0.9.3....go to Preference/Appearance tab and remove check mark for "use pixmap caching".

Your minimum pressure is 8 cm??? I thought that you said 6 cm...
Those spikes are normal pressure probes that the machine does to test the airway...they are not the machine responding to any events or warning signs.
Your machine essentially didn't move off the minimum pressure except for the pressure probes.
Should this always be the case then your minimum could be lowered a bit if you wanted to.

Your report looks really good. Leaks well controlled....your leak number to avoid is going to be up around 80 L/min total leak...that's the top leak line.

Some breaks in therapy where you turn the machine off for some reason...common for first night. It takes a while to get used to having the alien stuck on our face.

Did you have any particular issues or problems?

Don't go fixating on that AHI number...remember...look at the clear airway part of that AHI...you have to ignore it because we don't treat it with this type of machine and you don't have enough of them to worry about.

If your AHI is 1.0...and 0.7 of that is Clear airway....the rest of your AHI is just 0.3 and not worth anything other than a passing thought.

If your AHI is 3.0 and 2.0 of it is CLear airway...again we don't do anything because we can't fix it with this machine and it doesn't need fixing anyway.

It's normal to have variations in AHI from night to night...some nights really good and some nights not so good and sometimes nights that are simply in the toilet. We just don't sleep the same each night. So don't worry about variations...they are for sure going to happen.

Can I still use a SnuggleHose with a heated tube?
I do. I don't want to look at that nasty snake with wires and prefer to use pretty hose covers.

I didn't have any real concerns, Pugsy. Just trying to make sure I'm on the right track.

The only issue I have is the sound of the tube rubbing against the headboard I have it routed over when I move. I wonder if lowering humidifier/tube settings and going ahead and using the hose cover would help with that?

Just put a hose cover on and you will not hear the rubbing. Mine is routed over the headboard too and I never hear it rub. Do a small test tonite.... just put a towel around your hose and see if there is any difference
Good luck

Go ahead with the Snugglehose cozy with current settings..if it ends up being too warm just adjust the temp at that time.
It may work out just fine without needing to change anything..
My hose cozy that I had was a bit heavier than the SnuggleHose anyway.
