Ever hear "Can't make a Silk Purse out of a Sow's Ear". To get light weight, trade offs must be made, they are higher noize and shorter life.
I once attended a meeting in the boardroom of Arthur D Little, a Cambridge MA consulting firm. They had an odd display on the wall, including a sow's ear and a medieval purse.

It passed the Hooker test, but failed the DNA test! Jim

Maybe if we add a lb of foam, roll of duct tape and a can of WD-40 we could quiet it down.

Just read this on the HDM web site concerning the use of the HME element........now approved for 7 nights per HME

Z1 HME certified for 7 days of use
Great news! After independent testing our Z1 HMEs have been certified to be appropriate for up to seven days of use. If at any time during the seven days the HME seems to become less effective at delivering humidification replace it with a new one.

I am not an expert in this area, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night -- and I see no reason why you couldn't use this HME on any system including the Trascend.

thanks all for the post, I am a therapist and wanted some feedback before I recommended the Z1 to a customer. I found this forum a while ago and have recommended it to my patients ever since. keep posting!
