Well, since someone else brought this post up again, I'm glad to report the AirFit P10 is working for me! My hair likes it (almost no headgear, so it leaves no 'dents'), and if my hair likes a mask, that is step 1 for me. Step 2 is that my nose likes it - yes my nose loves it. Step 3, no leaks!
I'm so glad I gave this mask another try. I usually try all 'failed' masks again, just to make sure it really doesn't work. This time I'm sooooo glad I tried again!

sleepyJen wrote:Well, I ordered the Airfit P10 for her and have used it for the past 3 nights - so far, I think I like my Swift FX better (which is not the for her version). I find the P10 to have a more snug fit on my face - I'm more aware of it than I was the FX. I don't miss the cold blast of air coming form the FX but I feel more air with the P10 - I don't know if it's leaking or not as my numbers seem the same and I don't hear any leaks, but I can feel cool air under my nose (if that makes sense). It's really irritating - like a constant little fan under my nose. But no adjustments make it better. (I'm using the medium pillows, which is what I used with the FX) The first two nights my husband said he couldn't hear the mask at all - last night he said he had to wake me up several times because he could hear the mask making noise (I don't remember this). I just know that I'm not sleeping as well With only 2 months under my belt, I'm not experienced enough to get what is going on or what I might be doing wrong. One thing that I wonder (which may seem funny) is if my head is too big for this mask - I have a huge head (seriously - my whole family is like this) There isn't a woman's hat that fits me and most men's hats would be a tight fit. On top of that (literally ) I have extremely thick hair.
Anyway, I'm on the fence as to whether I should keep trying - I really, really wanted this mask to work out.
I have noticed many of the same observations with the P10. I think the air we are noticing on our upper lip is the diffused air lightly blowing there. I would not say my head is significantly large for a man, but I too feel the headgear pulls the prongs into my nose too far compared to the Swift FX. I went back to the Swift FX and am happy, but I will keep trying the P10 every few weeks as it has some real nice features (light, diffused air, connection of new pillows super easy). Go with what works rather than what you wished worked. The Swift FX is an awesome mask. I have mined attached to a nano hose, which enables me to direct the air exhaust on the Swift FX enough that works just fine for my wife staying clear of the blast:)

I'm still looking forward to getting the Airfit. However, if it doesn't work out, I'll keep the above tip in mind. Thanks

You're welcome, but I cannot claim credit for this idea. I got it from one of Pugsy's reviews of the nano;}

This is now my new "official" mask! Works about perfectly for me!
Switched back and forth between the Swift FX and the Mirage FX. Both worked acceptably but neither one rang the bell.
This one is comfortable, stays put all night, eliminates the drawbacks of the swift and is producing restful sleep and great numbers. Zero leaks, and AHI under 0.5 most nights.
I think I may marry it.

I got this mask about 3 weeks ago when my supplies were up for renewal. I've been using a CPAP for 4 years and still found the noise of the mask waking me. This is far and away the quietest mask I have ever used. Prior to this I had settled on the Swift FX pillows because they seemed the most comfortable and quietest. I'm one of those guys that lost my wife sleeping in bed with me due to my apnea and restlessness at night. I thought after I started with the CPAP she would be back but between the machine and the mask she opted out. Now after stashing the machine in our walkin closet, using a 10" hose to reach the bed and this mask she is back. Love the mask!!!

Pulling the top strap of the P10 toward the forehead will loosen the fit of the mask. I adjust my mask by repositioning the straps on my head.

This has been the only mask that I have used since I got my machine (1 week ago) and so far, so good. I have gone back and forth between the medium and large pillows and think the large will work best for me. I find it very comfortable. My only complaint is that the hose does not rotate at the connection to the mask and sometimes twists a bit too much with change of sleeping positions.

I love the P10! It's so quiet I don't know it's on and sometimes check to make sure my machine is on since it's quiet also. Additionally, it doesn't mess my hair up!

My wife loves it. When I first started CPAP therapy she could not sleep due to the noise. I got the P10 along with the Swift FX and another to try. Tried the P10 first and slept great with comfort and good stats on my morning report. I tried the others for naps but was spoiled from using the P10. I guess I am hooked.
The straps are simple but effective and comfortable. I feel the swivel is just a lot of apparatus that is not needed. It's light, I hardly notice I have anything on. I can sleep on my side without disrupting the seal. The double wall seal on the pillows fit perfectly with no leaks. No sores in my nose like I had with others. I am so glad I found this early in my therapy and eliminate what obviously is an ongoing issue for many.

When this happens, I don't need to take off the mask; I simply unkink the hose by twisting the fitting which attaches the mask hose to the long hose. I also use a hose hanger which helps prevent this from happening.
I used to use the SwiftFX which I loved, but now I'm hooked on the P10. It took more than a week to get used to it though. The headband was too tight (I have since stretched it out), the fit is still tighter than the FX was but it's a positive now that I'm used to it because it stays put when I'm turning over.

I'm almost ready to buy this mask, even though I said I'd wait. I just can't stand the 3 pillow between hubby and I and the cold air I feel and hear from the FX.
I use a hose buddy to route tubing above me. With no swivel, will this still work good? No problems?

Yes...worked fine with a hose hanger. My problem with this mask was that I couldn't get comfortable with the headgear, I found it too unstable for me. Give me a Swift FX with the more diffuse venting of the P10 and I'd be happy.

The straps were feeling a bit rough last night, so I transferred my PADACHEEK strap covers from the Pilairo onto the AirFit and it worked perfectly! It was total comfort.
