The main advice that has proven beneficial to me over these many years is to KEEP YOUR DAMN INFECTED FINGERS OUT OF YOUR NOSE AND EYES. PERIOD!!!
That's the basic route of transmission for the flu virus, not thru your mouth (stomach acid generally kills any virus dead).
Also, try to eat 2 eggs a day--they are immeasurably healthy for the immune system among other things. Also I take 1/2 tsp. a day of Trader Joe's Vitamin C crystals (mixed with juice), per Michael Savage's recommendation (radio host who has a doctorate in health science).

Welcome back, Pugsy!

Welcome back Pugsy! I wonder if my pneumonia could be the same bug you got? I keep trying to cough up my lungs as well. The most important thing around here is that you are better. You were missed, but just take it easy until you are 100% well.

I'm glad nobody else had what I had. We celebrate Christmas on the 24th--good thing.
I was dog-sick all of Christmas day. First it was lots of cramps and fast trips to the throne.
Eventually I was so nauseous that when I finally let go, I was almost like a real, live frog. (look it up--if you dare)
I had a very small breakfast, so I ran dry long before I was through "bucking".
I must have pulled every muscle in my torso, as I was very sore and weak for about 3 days afterward.
I slept for 16+ hours Christmas afternoon and night combined--that helped a lot.

Good to hear from you Pugsy. I had mycoplasma some 30 years ago while living in Froggie's neighborhood (nothing amphibious being implied here ). Not fun. Not fun at all. Probably helped my recovery that I was 30 years younger then.

Keep getting better sweetie!
