Get a good pulse oximeter. They go for around 100 to 200 dollars for the non professional version. You want to know how often and how low the O2 is going and you want an alarm going off if if goes to 90 or below. Set the machine at about 6 or 7 until and go up slowly every night until you get no airway obstructions. Look at your data from the machine and note how many events are occuring and when. Sinus problems can complicate cpap use. If you can't breathe through the nose then you got problems. Sinus can swell up pretty fast and make cpap almost useless. At this point the person will likely tear the mask off to get air.
