Most hospitals have back-up generator sets, it depends of their being tested and maintained. It comes down to if you want to be prepared for trouble, you are personally responsible for doing it, it's costly sometimes, but the reward is peace of mind. My self, I feel I can live a few nights without my xpap, in my recliner. With the weather now, I worry more about heat, having a heating system that requires electric to run.
I hate to say it, but in older times we were better able to cope with lifes problems, progress is a double edged sword. Jim

Without progress (i.e., cpap) many of us would not be here today--or anywhere, for that matter.
No, sir, the Way-Back Machine can leave without me.-

Around here, our City owned Utility company has every Hospital pretty much by themselves. They often have electricity when everything else around them has none.
But, of course, an outage at a substation miles away will override that & even they will be without power - hence the need to also have generators.

Maybe what I need is a DeLoren, (SP) so I can go back in time for a Do Over, or at the very least a Vacation. Jim
I'd take my XPAP with me, if anyone ask what it was I could call it a leaf blower.

Things were never easy, but being younger maybe we were better equipted to deal with hardship. For sure we were more thankful for what we had. Jim
